History

Dr. Charles W. Hickey, Jr. founded and opened Pocoshock Animal Hospital in 1977, and developed it into an Accredited AAHA facility. In 2009, the hospital was sold to Gayle Calhoun and Aubrey O.  Friedhoff, III, who continued the Accreditation as an AAHA facility.

Through spiritual guidance and a reliance on our combined skills, compassion, and pursuit of knowledge, we all strive to enhance the unique relationship between the people and pets of the community we serve.
