Charles W. Hickey, Jr. DVM
Dr. Charles W. Hickey, Jr. received his B.S. from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 1969, and his D.V.M. from Kansas State University in 1973. In 1977, he founded Pocoshock Animal Hospital in Chesterfield County where he continues to practice. He has served as President of the Virginia Veterinary Medical Association, the Virginia Association of Professions and the Central Va. Veterinary Medical Association. He was the recipient of the Virginia Veterinarian of the Year Award in 1995 and received the Southeastern U.S. Practitioner Award in 1997. Dr. Hickey has also served the Commonwealth of Virginia as the Chairman of the Virginia State Board of Health and as a member of the Board of Governors to the Virginia Council for Healthy Communities. Dr Hickey currently serves on the Board of directors for AAHA and is Vice President of the Virginia Jack Russell Terrier Club.
Jenny N. Larsen, DVM
Dr. Jenny N. Larsen received her B.S. from Smith College. She then attended VA-MD Regional College of Veterinary Medicine where she earned her D.V.M. degree. After completion of an internship program in New Haven, Ct., she moved to Richmond, Virginia, where she has been employed as an Associate Veterinarian at Pocoshock Animal Clinic since 1987. She held a position on the executive board of the Central Virginia Veterinary Association as secretary-treasurer from 1992-1997. She also organized and directed local publicity for National Pet Week for two years.
James Cloman, DVM
Dr. Cloman joined our staff on November 1, 2005. He is a graduate of Mississippi State University and has been in practice for over seven years. He comes to us highly recommened by his previous employers and clients. Dr. Cloman is an avid photographer and enjoys reading and music.

Sally Hickey, Office Administrator
Sally is the the captain of our ship, making sure both PAH and our sister facility, Short Pump Animal Hosptial, run smoothly. If you have any questions or comments about either facility please don't hesitate to call or stop by to speak to Sally directly!
Tracy Bittner, Licensed Veterinary Technician
Tracy is a (LVT) and has been with PAH since 1998. When Tracy isn't working providing our patients the best service possible, she enjoys reading and horseback riding.
Annette Estes, Head Receptionist
Annette has been with PAH since 1981 and is an excellent receptionist. She heads up our reception staff at PAH and can assist you with most any concern you may have about our facility and operation.
Gayle Calhoun, Assistant Office Administrator Galye has been with PAH since 2001 and is an invaluable resource for Sally. Gayle has done alot to streamline and improve the efficiency of our hospital functions.
Pat Spurlock, Receptionist
Pat has been with PAH since 1987 and enjoys serving the Pocoshock clients and patients. Pat knows most all of our clients and patients by name and endeavers to treay them all as family members.
